Reiki training from Türkiye
I live in the United Kingdom and most of my students are in Türkiye. I have worked this way for twenty-two years. Here are the questions that come up.
How does payment work?
Prices are shown in Turkish Lira on the Turkish pages. The charge itself is taken in pounds sterling, so the amount on your card can vary by a small amount with your bank's rate on the day. The figure on the site is calculated from the current rate, not estimated.
Card payment goes through Stripe; your card details never reach me.
Most banks in Türkiye issue cards with international transactions switched off by default. If a payment is declined it does not mean there is anything wrong with your card — enabling international use in your online banking is usually enough.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes. When you reach the payment step in the booking form there are two options: pay by card, or pay by transfer. Choosing the transfer means you never go to the card page at all.
The account details and a payment reference of your own arrive by email. There is a Turkish account for transfers in Lira and a UK account for Faster Payments — whichever is in your own country arrives the same day, free of charge.
Please write the reference in the transfer, otherwise I cannot tell which booking the payment belongs to. Your time stays held for you meanwhile; once the payment arrives I confirm the booking and your calendar invitation follows.
Is the time difference a problem?
Türkiye is two hours ahead of the United Kingdom. We do not both need to be awake at the same moment for an attunement — we agree a time, and at that time you simply lie down somewhere quiet where you will not be disturbed.
In practice this usually falls in the evening, Türkiye time, which is also easiest for someone who works.
Are the manuals in Turkish?
Yes. Every course manual is prepared in Turkish and arrives by email after the attunement.

Is the certificate valid in Türkiye?
Reiki is not a state-licensed profession anywhere in the world — not in Türkiye and not in the United Kingdom. Be careful with anyone who tells you otherwise.
What gives a certificate its standing is the lineage: it records the names through which the energy passed from Mikao Usui to you. All my lineages are published openly on this site and you can read them before you enrol.
If you want to attune your own students, the certificate you receive at Master/Teacher level is the written record of that.
Does a distance attunement reach Türkiye?
It does. What is sent is not a physical substance but intention and connection, so distance is not an obstacle.
I have worked both in person and at a distance for twenty-two years and have seen no difference in effect. One of the symbols taught at the second level of Reiki exists precisely for this.
Do you have a representative in Türkiye?
No. There is no agent, reseller or representative; you work with me directly. If you come across anyone claiming to sell courses on my behalf, please write to me.

Is a Reiki certificate officially recognised in Türkiye?
Reiki is not a state-licensed profession in any country. The value of the certificate is the lineage written on it.
