The level IX symbol is called The Great Happiness which aims to assist you in finding true happiness in life. Happiness means to love and accept yourself and others unconditionally.

Prerequisite
No prerequisite — if you feel ready, you may take it.
The symbol of this level is Dai Fu Ku. It is written in Japanese kanji and carries its own name; it means fortune and true happiness.
What it points at is harder than it first sounds: seeing that fortune and happiness do not arrive from outside, but stand within the person. The work of this level teaches you to accept and forgive your own flaws as readily as you accept another's. The idea that you cannot love another without loving yourself sits at the centre of this degree.
The handbook dwells on a second point: being clear about what you actually want. We often think we want something and later find it was not that at all. Is it really money you want, or the peace money might bring? Health, or love? Being able to make that distinction is itself treated as the readiness to receive.
With the attunement you learn this level's own meditation, recommended for at least twenty minutes a day. The handbook contains the drawing of the symbol, the steps of the meditation, the attunement ritual and the symbol codes — so you can pass this level on to others.

Prerequisite
You are expected to have been working actively as a Reiki Master for at least six months, and the levels are taken in sequence. This is a guideline rather than a gate — it is what works for most people.
Some students arrive ready by another route, through years of their own practice, even without having taken these particular systems. If you feel ready, you may go ahead; the decision is yours.
One thing said plainly: an attunement opens as far as the ground beneath it allows. If that ground is not settled yet, the level is still given, but you may not see the response you hoped for straight away. That is not a failure, only timing — a level taken early usually waits for you and settles into place once you are ready.

Reiki GrandMaster V and VI

You will learn to find the source of happiness within yourself and your connection with the Universal Life Energy. Level VIII Symbol- DAI HEY WA- The Great Peace.
Reiki GrandMaster X
The level X symbol is called the Great Hope. It aims to allow you to always see that there is hope in all situations. There is never a reason to lose hope both in a personal and collective sense.
