The level X symbol is called the Great Hope. It aims to allow you to always see that there is hope in all situations. There is never a reason to lose hope both in a personal and collective sense.

Prerequisite
No prerequisite — if you feel ready, you may take it.
The symbol of this level is Dai Ki Bo — the Great Hope. It is written in Japanese kanji and represents its own name.
It is a level meant for the times when hope is running out. Both collective hope — the expectation that the world will go on despite its crises, wars and damage to the earth — and personal hope, the belief that you will one day reach what you set out for.
The most honest part of the handbook is this: when we make contact with the higher realms we do not always receive an answer. Hopes often come to nothing, goals are missed, illness is not always overcome. The reason may be that having the thing right now is not what our own growth requires. How often, years later, have we found that a hope that came to nothing had opened a new way of understanding?
With the attunement you learn this level's meditation and return to it in the moments when hope runs thin. The handbook contains the drawing of the symbol, the meditation, the attunement ritual and the symbol codes — so you can pass this level on.

Prerequisite
You are expected to have been working actively as a Reiki Master for at least six months, and the levels are taken in sequence. This is a guideline rather than a gate — it is what works for most people.
Some students arrive ready by another route, through years of their own practice, even without having taken these particular systems. If you feel ready, you may go ahead; the decision is yours.
One thing said plainly: an attunement opens as far as the ground beneath it allows. If that ground is not settled yet, the level is still given, but you may not see the response you hoped for straight away. That is not a failure, only timing — a level taken early usually waits for you and settles into place once you are ready.

Reiki GrandMaster IX
The level IX symbol is called The Great Happiness which aims to assist you in finding true happiness in life. Happiness means to love and accept yourself and others unconditionally.
