All you need to do is be somewhere quiet at the agreed time, lying down or sitting comfortably, where you will not be disturbed.

Most attunements take 20–30 minutes. I suggest setting aside 30–45 minutes so you can begin without rushing and rest a little afterwards.

You pick a date and time on the booking calendar — times are shown in your own time zone.

After choosing a time you choose how to pay: by card (on Stripe's secure payment page; your booking is confirmed instantly) or by bank transfer (I confirm once the transfer arrives). With the confirmation you receive a calendar invitation and a link to manage your booking.

Yes. The link in your confirmation email lets you cancel or move your booking yourself — there is no need to write and wait for a reply.

Changes can be made up to the notice period shown on the booking page; at present that is 24 hours before the session. If it changes, the booking and management pages show the current figure.

It did not. Sensation is not the condition for it to work. Some people feel warmth, tingling or a shiver; others feel nothing at all.

Very often the effect is noticed in the days that follow rather than immediately — sleeping better, feeling less tense.

If you have never taken Reiki, the place to begin is Usui Reiki I. Every other system builds on that foundation.

Yes. The handbook arrives by email the day before your session; your certificate is issued in your name after the attunement, and you open it from the link in the email and download it as a PDF.

Your certificate also shows your lineage — the chain of teachers through which the energy reached you. Every certificate carries a number and can be verified at sifareiki.com/en/dogrula.

No. Once received, an attunement stays with you for life. There is nothing to renew, no fees and no organisation to belong to.

It does not fade if you do not use it, but the flow becomes easier and your confidence grows the more you do.

Reiki is not a religion and not an alternative to any belief system. It has no worship, no scripture and no congregation; it is a technique.

People of every faith practise Reiki. It does not change what you believe — it puts a tool in your hands.

Reiki is not medical treatment; it does not diagnose and cannot be offered as a cure for any condition.

What it does is support the body's own effort to find balance. It stands alongside your doctor's care, not in place of it. If you have a health concern, do not delay seeing a doctor.

Yes, 21 days. After every attunement you give yourself healing daily for twenty-one days — the handbook describes it — and you can take Reiki II once that period is complete.

This is not a formality: you give yourself time to settle into the first level's energy; the second level builds on that habit.

Yes. You receive an email when the attunement has been sent and another when your certificate is ready. During the twenty-one days you give yourself Reiki daily; what to do, how long it takes and what you may feel are set out step by step in the handbook and in the article “The 21 days after an attunement”.

During those days and afterwards you can write to me by email or WhatsApp about anything on your mind; I usually reply within 24 hours. This is part of the course, at no extra cost.
